Fiesole Viewpoint

The Tuscan hill town of Fiesole sits about 3km northeast of Florence and predates it as an Etruscan settlement. The terrace beside the Franciscan convent of San Francesco, at the top of the town, looks down over the Arno valley to Florence's rooftops and the hills of Chianti beyond. Fiesole is reachable from the city centre by the number 7 bus in around 20 minutes, and its own Roman theatre and archaeological area are worth combining with the view.
