About
Angkringan Lik Man has served roadside snacks and coffee near Tugu Station since 1968 and is generally credited as the birthplace of kopi joss -- hot coffee with a piece of burning charcoal plunged straight into the glass. Customers sit on mats spread on the pavement (lesehan), choosing from trays of nasi kucing (small rice parcels), skewered offal and fried snacks warmed over a charcoal brazier. It remains one of Yogyakarta's best-known angkringan, busy with students and late-night visitors well past midnight.
